| In 1960 s and 1970 s,the complicated economical, political and cultural environment of the America led to a burst of "paranoids" in American literature,Nabokov and Pynchon were the representative writers. As a sci-fi writer who stood outside of the American mainstream literature,Philip K.Dick also portrays a series of paranoid figures in his works.Starting from this point, combining with the 20 th century American socio-economic and political background, based on the text, this paper analyzes the paranoid logic in Dick’s works during this period, and tries to point out the true meaning of this paranoid logic.Compared with the discussion on this topic by Pynchon and the others,Dick’s paranoid writing is unique, and the internal cause of this "mental illness" is diagnosed.I believe that Dick’s repeated writing of this image is through the coat of science fiction literature, through science fiction factors such as science and technology, drugs and other science fiction factors,in the uninhibited imagination, through the creation of the ultimate "simulacra" world, dispelling the truth,Blurring the boundaries of the totalitarian ideology, resulting in complete paranoid logic fragmentation, accompanied by this resolution, the main characters fall into extreme anxiety, individual paranoia as a huge image of the paranoia revealed,Through this writing,Dick profoundly criticizes the new type of totalitarianism in the developed industrial society, and gives the methods to resist this totalitarianism in many novels.I think that Dick’s method of healing paranoia at this time coincides with Deleuze and Guattari‘s "Becoming-minority",and thus further relates to the discussion of the theory of "post-human" in the present. It is pointed out that the future human envisioned by Dick is an open, inclusive and embodied human being. |
