The Chronological Biography Of Gao Shiqi

Gao Shiqi was a famous literary scholar,historian,painting and calligraphy connoisseur and Confucian scholar in Qing Dynasty,and was also a literary attendant at the side of emperor Kangxi.He was knowledgeable,after the death of him,the emperor Kangxi ordered other officals to worship him,and gave him the posthumous title of "Wen Ke".Gao Shiqi had a legendary life,he changed from a poor scholar to the assistant minister,has always been trusted by the emperor.He had corresponded with Zhu Yizun and Wang Shizhen,who were famous then in literary,and he wrote many books.His works involved the literature,the historical works and the painting appreciation,eight of them were included in the Si Ku Quan Shu,and five books were recorded in Si Ku Quan Shu Cun Mu.In addition,he has some notes and poetrty anthologyies,those works value to Confucian,research on Chinese character,history,geography and literature.According to his works,the historical works about him and local records,I wrote The Chronicle Biography of Gao Shiqi,in order to record the family events and social contact,and his works.This chronology is divided into preface,pedigree and main chronology.According to the two important turning points of Gao Shiqi's life,one year old to 28 years old is volume one,29 to 44 years old is volume two,and 45 years old to 59 years old is volume three.The chronology is arranged in the form of programmatic form,the line is based on the large characters,and the historical data and its textual research are placed under the outline in fine Chinese characters.
