| The general name of space in Lingnan area was often referred to as "Yue" in Qin and Han Dynasty.According to the literature,the concept of Lingnan with the connotation of "south of five ridges" was established at the latest in the Southern and Northern Dynasties.The Tang Dynasty continued to use the concept of Lingnan and established an administrative unit in Lingnan.The phenomenon of relegation was very frequent in Tang Dynasty.Lingnan was the first place to settle refugees,which made many elite people infiltrate into this barbarous area.When the poets set foot on this exotic barren land,the surrounding space environment stimulated the poet’s senses.They often intentionally or unintentionally compared with the Central Plains environment,and wrote about Lingnan’s natural geography,climate characteristics,social environment from many angles,all-round and multi-level.Hence,Lingnan,as a space existence that can not be neglected,is exotic in the works of poets in the Tang Dynasty.Taking the poems written by Tang poets in Lingnan as the object of study,this paper combs and analyses the texts written by Tang poets in Lingnan from the perspectives of regional culture and spatial imagery,extracts three image clusters of natural space,social space and psychological space,and expounds in detail the constituent elements of these three image clusters.The article is divided into four parts.The first chapter is an overview of Lingnan.The evolution of the names from Nanyue,Yangyue to Lingnan,from ethnic and political names to the south of China’s mountains,actually shows the process of gradual internalization of Lingnan into China’s territory.Because the writing of natural space in different periods of the Tang Dynasty poets show great style differences,the second chapter of this paper adopts a more common division,namely,the early,prosperous,middle and late Tang Dynasty.By means of longitudinal comparison,the group characteristics and creative styles of poets in different periods can be displayed more intuitively.The divine dragon’s pursuit of Ministers truly restored Lingnan’s natural geographical features with its splendid court brushwork,while Yuan He’s deputies depicted the spirit of the wind in a strange and dangerous style.From this,we can see the gradual transition from realism to freehand brushwork.Chapter three analyses the main city image of Lingnan-Guangzhou from the angle of social image.Guangzhou is a truly affluent city with continuous business and trade.It is a magnificent commercial metropolis.Other states are dwarfed by each other.And the unique cultural landscape image and social space fashion of Lingnan are summarized and discussed.Chapter IV is the mirror image of psychological space.Because of the common experience of poets being demoted,their mentality tends to be similar.In addition,their poems are often permeated with the breath of death.Therefore,many images of ghosts and ghosts are projected in the poet’s heart.At the same time,the homeland represents a beautiful side,projecting in the poet’s heart is their purest space expectation. |
