With the development of society,the world culture has been integrated in the continuous exchange and interaction.People's exploration and understanding of new things are gradually expanding,and their observation and thinking are also deepening.With the development of creative methods,photography has made great progress in different fields.Although the concept of new documentary photography has formed new changes in the concept of shooting,it does not deviate from the essential characteristics of documentary photography.It still puts the reality of recording in the first place.By integrating new technical means and creative ideas,it can adapt to social changes and seek breakthroughs and innovations.This paper takes "urban elements" as the visual core for discussion and thematic creation,from simple objective records to subjective emotional expression,to analyze the expression of new documentary photography,and explore its development prospects.Taking the changing homeland,landscape and the process of the ruins being overthrown and rebuilt in social life as the research focus of urban element photography.Recording and investigating the image changes brought about by urban development in detail.By taking a large number of photographs of urban elements,the confusion,strange and incompatible phenomena brought about by the changes of human living environment are formed through self-perception and thinking of social development.The new concept of documentary photography is elaborated and imaged,and the contradictions and realistic problems of today's society are explored in the image in order to arouse people's attention.To awaken more people's rational thinking,and provide some reference for later researchers.
