Study On The Image Of Father In Children's Film

Children's film are an important part of film art.Children's film take children as service objects and reflect children's life.As one of the most influential people in children's growth,the image of father plays a decisive role in children's film.From the perspective of domestic research status,the research on father image in films mostly focuses on the fifth and sixth generation directors' films and Taiwanese films.Few studies have been done on the image of father in children's film,neglecting the important role of this image in children's film.This paper combs the Chinese children's film after the new century,and analyses and interprets the image of the father in order to understand the value of the father in children's growth more deeply.This paper is mainly divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the research background and significance of this topic,and explains and defines some concepts involved in this paper.The second part interprets the traditional father image as a symbol from the social and cultural significance of the father image.The traditional relationship between father and son in China is deeply influenced by Confucian culture.The development of patriarchal society has expanded the meaning of "father" into more diverse meanings,and father has become the embodiment of national culture.The third part mainly discusses the decline of patriarchy and the growth of fatherless state.With the progress and development of social civilization,patriarchy has been weakening rapidly,and fathers in children's film have become irrelevant.This chapter discusses the influence of fatherless growth on children's self-identity construction from the perspective of psychoanalysis.The problem of left-behind children exposed in the period of social transformation in China,the influence of mobile patriarchy on children is greater.The fourth part elaborates the return of father and the exit of traditional values.The yearning for father and the worship of patriarchy of the descendants,and the father's fading divinity and returning to life.The new requirement for father's function in the new century has aggravated the paradox of father.The contemporary father has been unable to meet the expectations of his descendants,and his father's values have retired.From this,we can see that the image of father in children's film in the new century is gradually getting rid of symbolization and a more rational understanding of the father as a human being.However,the weakening of patriarchy is the trend of the times.Fathers' values are absent after their return.Modern fathers need to find a balance in the general environment.
