Based on the E-C translation of About Toyota,the practice report mainly researches the optimization of non-positive Europeanized sentences in translation of company profile texts under the guidance of Skopos Theory.In the report,the author describes the difficulties she encountered during the translation process and solutions to those problems.In the report,integrating with the language characteristics of company profile texts,the author does research on the non-positive Europeanized sentences in company profile texts.The author,firstly,introduces the Europeanization briefly,including its origin,manifestations and types.Secondly,she describes three sentence patterns that cause non-positive Europeanized sentences during the practice.Then,she analyzes typical problems and presents her solutions to the non-positive Europeanization problems in her practice.For example,Chapter Three focuses on translating long sentences into short sentences and adjusting the word order to optimize the non-positive Europeanized long sentences.What's more,this chapter also discusses how to translate attributives into prepositive attributives,postpositive coordinate clauses and adverbials to optimize the non-positive Europeanized attributive clauses and translate passive sentence into active sentences and passive sentences to solve the non-positive Europeanized passive sentences.All those methods were used to meet the goals and accord with language characteristics of company profile texts under the guidance of Skopos Theory.Finally,the author makes a conclusion about her translation practice report.The author believes she learns a lot of translation experience during this process,and she will do better in the future.She presents this report and aims at drawing on experience from this translation practice in the hope that it will be of great use to others in the future.
