A Brief Discussion On The Characterization Of The Characters In The Documentary

Abstract:As a form of expression of film and television art,taking the nature and human society as the main content,documentary reflects the current state of society through a variety of people,which is the value of documentary art and social value.The core of documentary is truthfulness,and character documentaries also needs truthfulness,because the subject of the documentary is the living character.The true,simple,natural and living pictures deeply reproduce the main theme of the documentary.This paper takes the character documentary"Calm Thatched Cottage"as an example,first analyzes the documentary’s creative thinking,and then from the character documentary and the image shaping technique,expounds the authenticity of the documentary.Through communication and interviews,the author reveals the protagonist’s thoughts and feelings and inner world.
