The academic studies on the Refusal speech act mainly focus on the pragmatic strategies and indirect rejection of Refusal speech act,but pay little attention to the study on Direct refusal speech.However,in fact,there are still some problems for foreign students using Direct refusal speech,especially those who are in the elementary and intermediate levels.In order to solve the problems and help them to achieve reasonable and smooth communication,we make a relevant research results of predecessors.This thesis conducts a detailed investigation and research from the three aspects of the ontology of Chinese Direct refusal speech,the errors of foreign students' Direct refusal speech and the solutions to the errors,aiming at improving the intercultural communication ability of foreign students and promoting the development of Chinese teaching as a foreign language.The introduction introduces the source of the problem and the research value of this thesis.And then expounds the research achievements and research status of the Refusal speech act,Chinese negative sentences and the forms of the negation of the verb of Will,which are closely related to the Direct refusal speech.Besides,introducing the research methods,theoretical basis and corpus sources.The first chapter is the analysis of Direct refusal speech.First of all,basing on the predecessors to the definition and classification of Refusal speech act,we make a definition of Direct refusal speech,which means no reservations to reject or denial.It includes the center language behavior action verbs,"not + action verbs" format,or showing unwilling or unable to request of the words.Then,the characteristics of Direct refusal speech in three different social distances,namely,unfamiliar relationship,general relationship and intimate relationship,are analyzed through the video corpus of life and movies and TV plays.Finally,according to the definition of Direct refusal speech,the commonly used negative words in Direct refusal speech are analyzed from the perspectives of grammar,semantics and pragmatics.The second chapter is mainly composed of four parts.The first part analyzes the errors of negative words in HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing language and cultureuniversity.The second part introduces the design idea of the questionnaire,selecting eleven common rejection situation used by foreign students.And then designing a questionnaire with options on the Direct refusal speech.The third part is analyzed and counted the results of the questionnaire from the whole and part perspective.The fourth part summarizes the errors of foreign students in Direct refusal speech.The third chapter explores the relevant factors that lead to the errors of Direct refusal speech.And analyzing the teaching syllabus of the rejection function of Chinese as a foreign language and the existing problems.After that,from the perspective of teaching materials,we selects two commonly used spoken language teaching texts and analyzes the refusal speech and problems in the texts.At last,we puts forward some strategies to solve the problems in errors of Direct refusal speech,syllabus and textbooks.
