Zhuangzi is one of the most important philosophers in ancient China. His philosophical thoughts have a far-reaching impact on the lives of the world. His philosophical thoughts mainly focus on people and explain the life philosophy, and the issue of life and death that runs through it is also the core of his philosophical thoughts.Life and death is an eternal philosophical proposition.Zhuangzi is the most abundant thinker in the pre-Qin period. His philosophy of life and death has played an important and positive role in the life of future generations.Zhuangzi mainly discusses the philosophical viewpoint of life and death based on Tao.Zhuangzi believes that life and death are one body with Tao.Therefore,Chuang Tzu regained his life and died happily, pursuing peace and order,in order to achieve the state of Tao at ease. The first part of this paper mainly discusses the formation basis of Zhuangzi's outlook on life and death, and the reasons for its formation from the background of the times and ideology.Zhuangzi's philosophy of life and death came into being mainly in the social environment of frequent wars in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, where people lived in hardship. For those who were afraid of death at any time, they sought a way of spiritual relief. His thought was influenced by the academic trend of contention among hundreds of schools of thought at that time. The philosophical thought created by the theory of absorbing and drawing lessons from various schools, especially Confucianism and Laozi's thought, was conducive to alleviating the pressure of life and death. The second part discusses the basic content of Zhuangzi's philosophy of life and death, starting with Zhuangzi's Tao theory, explaining Zhuangzi's understanding of life and death. It mainly includes Zhuangzi's philosophical thought of attaching importance to life and how to preserve life,as well as the most unique view of “death” in Zhuangzi's philosophy of life and death.Zhuangzi put human life in the first place, believing that anything that could threaten life should be abandoned, thus expounding his idea of rebirth. In addition,it also introduces Zhuangzi's understanding of the relationship between life and death. From the different levels of “gasification” and “materialization”,Zhuangzi discusses the theory of life and death in thesame form and mutual transformation. From this page,it further explains Zhuangzi's “happy death”thought.Zhuangzi believes that life and death change like seasons, such as gas gathering and dispersing,so life and death need not be cared about. In order to express the content of his thought of rebirth and euthanasia. The third part mainly discusses Zhuangzi's ultimate pursuit of life, that is,his pursuit of the realm of ease. And the way to achieve this state.Zhuangzi expresses his ideal realm through his exposition of ideal personality, which in Zhuangzi's opinion can be achieved by the talents who can really understand life and death. The person who gains the Tao needs to understand life and death is together through the way of Tao,as well as the way of “xinzhai”,“zuowang” and “jiandu”,so as to realize the absolute freedom of spirit. This is also a spiritual pursuit of Chuang Tzu's creation of the suffering world. The fourth part mainly discusses the Enlightenment of Zhuangzi's view of life and death on people's survival, handling affairs and alleviating mental pressure in modern society. To provide people in modern society with a relaxed way of thinking to solve the pressure of survival or the temptation of fame and wealth. This is the basic content of this paper.Through the discussion of Zhuangzi's philosophy of life and death,we hope that people can get a new understanding of life and get rid of the predicament of life and death.
