An Examination Of Wang Zhiyi And His Works

Wang Zhiyi is an important figure in the development of Tongcheng School in the period of Qianjia.However,there are very few studies on Wang Zhiyi in the academic circles.This article intends to conduct a comprehensive study of Wang Zhiyi from various levels such as family history,life,friendship,and work,to supplement the many losses of current research.The full text is divided into two parts,the upper part is composed of four chapters:The first chapter is a study of Wang Zhiyi’s family history,his life and his works.Throughout the examination,the "Wang Family Tree" of Tongcheng Tongcheng and the related history books,Fangzhi,and poetry collections of Wang’s family were analyzed in turn,and the family history,life,and works of Wang Zhiyi were clearly analyzed.The second chapter is a study of Wang Zhiyi’s friendship.Taking the rewards of Wang Zhiyi’s personal work "Jia Men Wen Shi He Chao" as a clue,combined with the genealogy,history books,and local records of Wang’s family,he chooses the typical characters who are more closely related to Wang Zhiyi and can be enriched in the literature,sorting out their friendship with Wang Zhiyi,and discovering their influence on Wang Zhiyi as a person,for the official and for the text.The third chapter is the study of Wang Zhiyi’s poetry.Intensive reading of Wang Zhiyi’s"Deng Dai Shi","Xi Hu Shi","Jian Men Shi Chao" collection of poems,examine its poetic origins,and discuss the content and characteristics of its poetry.The fourth chapter is Wang Zhiyi’s ancient texts."Jia Men Wen Chao" is an important essay writing of Wang Zhiyi.Through the study of its contents,it can explore the style and characteristics of Wang Zhiyi’s ancient writings,in this way,we will examine the relationship between Wang Zhiyi and the Tongcheng School and detennine his position in the Tongcheng School.The next edition is"The Chronicle of Mr Wang Zhiyi".
