Comparison Of Chinese New Year And Azerbaijan Spring Festival In Cross-cultural Perspective

In 2013,Chairman of China Xi Jinping proposed an important strategic policy of"One Belt,One Road"during his visit to Central Asia,aiming to promote exchanges and integration between countries along the route.Cultural exchanges have always been an important way for all ethnic groups to understand each other.Cultural tolerance and interpersonal communication are one of the important contents of the"One Belt,One Road"strategy.Under the wave of globalization,we understand each other’s culture and enhance each other’s Understand that cross-cultural communication is an important cornerstone of cooperation.Azerbaijan is located in Central Asia and is one of the important countries in the"One Belt,One Road"strategy.Therefore,strengthening the mutual understanding of culture between China and Albania is conducive to the implementation of the strategy.The Spring Festival is a festival shared by China and Azerbaijan.It is also one of the important festivals of the two countries.This article takes the Spring Festival culture and customs of the two countries as the starting point,compares and analyzes the similarities and differences between the two cultures,and provides a basis for promoting cultural exchanges and communication between the two countries.This article is divided into five chapters,the content is as follows:The first chapter introduces the reasons for the selection of the thesis,the purpose and significance of the research,collects the theoretical research on intercultural communication between domestic and foreign scholars,analyzes the research status of the Chinese New Year on the Chinese New Year culture,and explores new research methods.The second chapter studies the definition of culture and festivals,analyzes the important role of traditional festivals in national culture,and analyzes festival culture from the perspective of semiotics.On the basis of studying the progress and current situation of intercultural communication theory,it points out the significance of intercultural communication.The third chapter studies the origin and formation history of China and Azerbaijan Spring Festival,and lays a foundation for further analysis.The fourth chapter analyzes the traditional customs of China and Azerbaijan’s Spring Festival from four perspectives:visual symbols,auditory symbols,taste symbols and spiritual symbols.Through analysis,it is found that the Chinese New Year cultures in China and Afghanistan have their own characteristics in form and content.The Chinese New Year symbols include Spring Festival couplets,New Year’s Eve,Temple Fairs,Sacrifices,New Year’s Eve,etc.Azerbaijan’s Spring Festival symbols include wheat seedlings,singing,and seven fresh tables.Divination jumping fire,etc.Although the customs of the two countries are different,they all reflect the characteristics of the nation and the positive attitude towards life.The fifth chapter mainly analyzes the cultural connotation of the Chinese New Year.In the Chinese New Year culture,family culture,filial piety culture and culture are consistently embodied,reflecting the Chinese attitude towards family and society.In the Spring Festival culture of Azerbaijan,gratitude,worship and joy are the theme of the festival.Through comparison,it is found that both China and Algeria attach great importance to the harmony of family and society,and visit relatives and friends during the festival to enhance their mutual feelings.During the Spring Festival,the two peoples will review history,look to the future,and express their best wishes.The differences in the Spring Festival culture between the two countries are mainly reflected in the differences in beliefs and cultural connotations.Azerbaijan is an Islamic country.From the origin of the Spring Festival to various rituals,it is related to religious beliefs.China is a country with many faiths.The rituals are also diverse,and there are differences between the north and the south.The differences in cultural connotations are mainly reflected in the differences in food culture and etiquette.In short,for China and Algeria,the Spring Festival is an important carrier of the country’s history and culture,the inheritance of the spiritual pursuit of the two peoples,and the noble quality of the people of both countries who love life and actively forge ahead.Learning the festival culture of the two countries will help to understand the history of the two countries and enhance exchanges.
