As we all know,music is a kind of art focusing on expression,while the teacher takes the mission of spreading thoughts and knowledge,and shoulders the time task of shaping the lives and spirits.As the new curriculum reform deepens,music education plays an important role in improving the quality of the students,shaping the perfect personalities,promoting the harmony between the intelligence,physical body and minds of the students.The development of the music education has proposed the higher standards to the musicians in the future.The pre-service of music education majors,as the musical teachers of the elementary education in the future should be equipped with the good comprehensive quality,thus spreading the knowledge of music to students better.The research focuses on the three important normal universities in Beijing,and surveys the students.The research based on the basic situations of our nation,surveys and analyzes the quality of the pre-service of music education majors in our nation by learning from the concepts of the compentences and frames of the teachers and the educational value of music and the viewpoint of putting students first.This research,in accordance with the development of the current art education,also makes proposes to the future advanced normal universities to cultivate excellent musicians in the future.This thesis first introduces the reason,aim of the research,determines the research idea and framework,lists out the research methods,clarifies in details of the theory of the concepts of pre-service music education majors,compentence,and teacher's compentences,collects and reviews the literature related to this research at home and abroad,and concludes the experience and inspirations through reviewing the compentence structure and compentence meaning of the teachers at home and abroad.Then the research locations,test objects and the detailed statistical methods are determined and the questionare of the compentence needed by the pre-service music education majors is designed.The questionnare consists of eight aspects and each aspect consists of eight sub-aspects.Then the questionnares are distributed,and the data collected are exposed to quantitative research by Excel and SPSS software.With the data,we analyze the current compentence needed by the pre-service of music education majors,discuss the influential factors of the students,and carry out the qualitative analysis of the students and teachers by interview research.The results are that the learning cognitive requirements of the pre-service of music education majors are different,the professional self-maturity is not enough,the content of compentence is semi-understanding,and the teacher's occupational identity is acceptable.With the results of this research,and with the expectation of improving the current situations,proposes are made from the four perspectives of balancing the cognitive needs,the excellent pre-service of music education majors in universities,the improvement of the environment for nurturing students and the increase of the occupational identity of the teachers.The weakness of this research is concluded and the expectation of the subsequent research in the future.
