| Doumu-Marici is the Original Yin Goddess of the Taoist gods,and has a very high status.The Original Yin Goddess,which is regarded as Taoism in many Taoist scriptures,is not only the mother of the Beidou stars,but also the function of many other goddesses in Taoism.In addition,she plays an important role in the process of Taoist Neidan cultivation and Lei Fa.In the process of formation,she also blends the dual sources of Buddhism and Taoism.It also reflects Taoism’s perfection of the cosmology and its female worship.Unique and very rich research value.This paper is a systematic study of the formation process of Doumu’s beliefs,which is divided into five parts.The first part is to sort out the development of the ancient Chinese Star Warfare belief before the emergence of the Doumu.As the mother of the stars,Doumu was created in the Taoist pedigree,which is the inevitable outcome of the development of the Star Warrior to a certain stage.From the ancestral original star worship,to the deification of the "Taiyi" in the Qin and Han Dynasties,and to the gradual construction of the Polaris and the Beidou stars after the Taoism,all of them are the historical accumulations that rely on the belief of the Doumu.At the same time,the imperfections in these constructions are also one of the opportunities for the emergence of Doumu’s faith.The second part explores the motivation for the formation of Doumu.The gods of Taoism are different from those of monotheism which have a very stong function.Therefore,the formation of Doumuu’s faith must have its practical motivation.The author believes that this motivation is,in general,an inevitable need for the development of Taoism.The first is the need for the development of the Neidan practice.Before the birth of Nei Dan,Taoism had already had the tradition of advocating the sense of heaven and human beings,corresponding to the Beidou and the human body,and practicing the spirit through the thoughts of the gods.In the Song Dynasty,Zhong Liquan and Lv Dongbin systematically reformed the inner Dan technique,and divided the inner Dan cultivation into 13 stages,such as yin and yang,gathering water and fire,and crossing the dragon and tiger.The process of matching yin and yang and the cross-dragon and tiger was required.There must be a goddess that represents the beginning of the yin as the object of thinking,so the Doom faith came into being.Since then,the Leifa sect,represented by the gods,has inherited the inner-enduation of the predecessors and used it to display Leifa.Fighting has gradually become the main god to worship when using Leifa.The third part sorts out the integration of Doumu’s goddess to other Taoist goddesses.Doumu’s godhead is not made out of thin air,and its godhead blends with Taoism’s many gods,such as Taiyiyuanjun,the Virgin Yuanjun,Xiwangmu and so on.The construction of its gods reflects the characteristics of Taoist women’s worship,and also reflects the Taoist concept of "one thing,all things" and the philosophical concept of yin and yang.The fourth part analyzes the motivation and process of the integration of Doumu and Moli.In the Tang Dynasty,Buddhism was influenced by the Taoist Star Warfare,and a series of Star Wars were compiled by a monk represented by a behavior.In the Song Dynasty,the fusion of the two was based on the Master,starting from the field of magic.The motivation is to promote the spread of the Doom law and enhance the Taoist Master’s control over the religious market by means of the influence of the Moritian Heaven faith.After the fusion of the magical field,the Taoist priests began to compile the Taoist scriptures.The fifth part summarizes the formation process of the Doumu’s support and analyzes its influence.The author believes that the Doumu is formed in the late Song and Yuan Dynasties.It is the product of the integration of the Taoist beliefs of the Taoism and the Marici beliefs.The Doumu belief is based on the belief of the Beidou Nine Emperor.Its appearance in the Song Dynasty is not accidental,but the inevitable outcome of the development of Taoist inner Dan,Leifa cultivation,and cosmology.The formation process of the Doumu-Marici belief reflects the negotiation of Buddhism and Taoism culture and is an important example of the study of the fusion of religious culture. |
