The Research Of Zhao Chunsheng's Novels

Zhao Chunsheng is one of the representative writers of the Xibo Nationality from the end of the 20 th century to the beginning of the 21 st century whose novels are treasure in contemporary literature of the Xibo Nationality.Zhao Chunsheng is a patriotic writer with strong emotion of "Family-Country".His novels are rooted in Xibo traditional culture and show Xibo patriotic spirit of defending the country and developing the border areas.This thesis is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which introduces Zhao Chunsheng's creation survey,summarizes the research status of his novels and explains the significance of this topic.The first chapter summarizes and discusses four themes of Zhao Chunsheng's novels: his realistic novels are intended to criticize people's moral decline in small town under the economic tide,hoping to reshape the values of truth,goodness and beauty;his historical novels aim to eulogize Xibo patriotic spirit of defending the country and explore and ponder on the social and historical reasons of individual tragic fate;his novels about love between husband and wife aim to castigate the derailment and betrayal in marriage,call for self-discipline and loyalty both husband and wife and stick to true love and responsibility;the core theme of his modernist novels is anxiety,which expresses the anxious mood and heavy psychological burden that are always in author's heart.These four themes are all Zhao Chunsheng's thought about life which contain his complete and true mental world.The second chapter discusses the cultural connotation of Zhao Chunsheng's novels.He brings the beautiful regional culture of Yi Li river and the Chabuchar county,the folk culture of Xibo,such as the unique styles of production and life,marriage and funeral and the rich historical culture of Xibo,such as defending the country and developing the border areas into his novels,which adds the aesthetic taste and shows the rich historical and cultural connotation of the novels.The third chapter analyzes the writing techniques in Zhao Chunsheng's novels.Zhao Chunsheng is one of the earlier writers who learn from the western modernism novel creation among modern Xibo writers.In some of his novels,Zhao Chunsheng tried to use one or more of the techniques of stream of consciousness,western absurdist and symbolism,aiming to pay attention to his spirit world and express his own anxious mood.Through these modernism novels,Zhao Chunsheng discovered his own dream field,analyzed his anxiety in his heart for a long time,constructed his peaceful spiritual home,illustrated his understanding about society and the life and enlightened people to think about their dreams and spiritual illness.The epilog points out that there are three distinct features in Zhao Chunsheng's novels which are the richness of cultural connotation,the diversity and profundity of themes and the expression of modernist techniques.Zhao Chunsheng promoted the development ofcontemporary literature of the Xibo Nationality.
