| The most typical,in the course of the development of Chinese realistic oil painting,to represent the spirit of the times in each stage of the development of the society back then is embodied in the spirit and appearance of the characters in the oil painting,also reflecting the growth process of the Chinese realistic oil painting.As is known to all,oil painting,as a classical European painting language,was introduced into China since the Ming Dynasty in the way of a realistic oil painting.The past nearly 300 years since it was imported in China has witnessed various and dramatic changes of the the spirit and appearance of characters in the Chinese realistic oil paintings during different periods from feudal society,semi-feudal and semi-colonial society,capitalist society to national independence war,socialist revolutionary construction,ten years of Cultural Revolution and reform and opening-up.Back in Qing Dynasty,the realistic oil painting,as a political educational tool of emperors,was embraced with a strong meaning of court decoration,which represented the rudimentary state of realistic oil painting in China.When it comes to the Period of Republic of China(1912-1949),a large number of students went abroad to study the techniques of western realistic oil painting in initiative,whose composite methods enriched the spirit and appearance of the characters in the work,entering an embryonic stage of the development of realistic oil painting.After the founding of New China,Chinese realistic oil painting turned into a new stage of development.Influenced by the the Soviet art model,it was an initial stage of development of realistic oil painting limited to single theme of creation and the spiritual features of the characters.After the reform and opening up in 1978,people began to change their thinking,transforming realistic oil painting from a single model to a diversified one.Since 1990,the Chinese realistic oil painting has leaped forward with diversified features and showing the cultural connotation of the Chinese nation in the spirit of the characters gradually.The passage of history has given a strong boost to the prosperous and diversified situation of the development of realistic oil painting today.In addition,the spiritual style and appearance of the characters in the works also gradually convey the spirit of the times and the spirit of humanity.Today,with the rapid development of economy,people's mental state has become an important reference to express and measure the quality of human life in society.The evolution of the spirit and appearance of the characters in Chinese realistic oil painting is also a process in which human nature is constantly respected and liberated,simultaneously reflecting the progress of the society and fully illustrating the reaction of art to the society.In the future,realistic oil painting in China will develop in the direction of diversification,individuation and harmony.We should also seek personalized artistic creation mode with the aim of shaping the spirit and appearance of characters,and better integrate it into today's social environment.After the collection and the reference to a large number of books,pictures and materials,this paper summarizes the development process and evolution reasons of realistic oil painting characters in China,and makes a preliminary analysis and explanation of the development trend of Chinese realistic oil painting.In order to strengthen the practice and exploration,I will apply the research achievements of Chinese realistic oil painting characters' spirit style to my graduation creation,through the combination of oil painting creation practice to present the display of the spirit style of the character in all round way.In the creation of personal works,the exploration and the personalized road of the character are carried out,and it is hoped that the expression of the character's spiritual style can be better accomplished through the laying of the foundation of painting and the improvement of the self-cultivation of the character. |
