The development of economy in Guizhou gives vocational school graduates more opportunities,and it also requires them to have higher oral-English level.Many schools take no account of this subject,and students' oral-English in these schools are generally poor.Vocational and Technical College of Anshun is a typical vocational school in Anshun Guizhou.Students in this school have common features of vocational school students in Anshun Guizhou.At present,what are the problems of the students' oral-English learning? What cause the problems? What teaching methods and strategies are helpful to the improvement of students' oral-English in Anshun Guizhou? What are the problems of oral-English teaching? And what result in these problems? How to improve the status of oral-English teaching at Vocational School in Anshun Guizhou? As collecting the literature,the author found that this subject boasts of an extensive literature,but there are also some problems,such as lack of the sufficient practical research,less of the researching objects,and limitation of the researching areas.After collecting the literature,on the bases of some theories about language teaching and oral-English learning,such as humanitarianism theory,constructionism theory and so on,the author used questionnaire method and interviewing method to investigate the students of Vocational and Technical College of Anshun,and had some knowledge of the status of students' oral-English teaching at vocational school in Anshun Guizhou.According to the result of the survey,to solve the problems about oral-English teaching,the author proposed some measures to improve the status of students' oral-English teaching at vocational school in Anshun Guizhou.The author hopes to arouse students' interest of learning,increase theirconfidence of speaking English,and take active parts in oral-English classes,in order to improve their oral-English,lay solid foundations for the future learning,and prepare for passing some oral-English tests and taking part in some competitions.Through the survey,English teachers could find some suitable and effective teaching methods to promote oral-English teaching quality,so that talents with high level oral-English can be cultivated for every field of Anshun Guizhou.Through the survey,schools and society can see the potential of students' oral-English learning at vocational school and the necessity and importance of strengthening oral-English teaching,thus they will attach importance to oral-English courses,rather than consider the courses as unnecessary.With the joint efforts of everyone,the improvement of students' oral-English teaching at vocational school in Anshun Guizhou can be pushed actively.
