Chen Yanqiao’s Study Of Black And White Woodcut Art

Chen Yanqiao was an early master of print art in China.His life witnessed the most crucial development of Chinese printmaking.His works have very strong characteristics of the times,and the artistry of the artworks is not lost.It can be said to be a combination of politics,nationality,and art.This article is based on the background of Mr.Chen Yanqiao’s creation.From the point of view of the works,he distinguishes the styles of works in different periods;sums up the artistic characteristics of different periods and finally concludes the aesthetic ideas behind Chen Yanqiao’s works of art.Trying to make an in-depth interpretation of an artist through the perspective of social history,to explore the various links between him and the society in which he lives,and to fully grasp his artistic ideas.There are two reasons why black-and-white woodcuts are selected for the study area.First,the number of black-and-white woodcuts is the most in terms of quantity;second,the basic nature of black-and-white woodcuts makes the work more pure when it embodies artistic thoughts.The article is divided into five parts: The first part is centered around Mr.Chen Yanqiao’s creative background.Chen Yanqiao was in a period of social change and turmoil in China,and the emerging printmaking industry in China is just at the beginning.Such a large environment has a great influence on his woodcut creation and exploration.The second part is Lu Xun’s influence on Chen Yanqiao.The third part is the study of the artistic style and characteristics of Chen Yanqiao’s woodcut art in the early,middle and late periods.The fourth part is the comparison of Chen Yanqiao’s black and white woodcuts and contemporary artists’ works.The fifth chapter is that the climax is also a summary,that is,through the above-mentioned research results for the excavation of Chen Yanqiao’s artistic ideas.At the end of the study,there was the achievement and influence of Mr.Chen Yanqiao’s print art.There was no achievement of our predecessors that made us descende from the cold.At the same time,he also expressed the author’s own respect and admiration for Mr.Chen.
