A Study On The Adverb’s Use In Early Mandrin

The paper mainly observe the strong spoken material,such as the novel and drama.And,taking two grammatical units of simple and complex sentences as grammatical environment,the paper describes the use and characteristics of adverbs in early Mandrin(1840-1950)by comparing them with the ancient and modern Chinese and contemporary Chinese.At the same time,it also give some explanations for this.The paper attempts to show the situation of written expression in early Mandrin.The whole paper is comprised of 6 parts,and the basic contents of which are as follows:The Introduction.It reviews the study of adverbs in the history of Chinese,points out the shortcomings of the research on adverb in early Mandrin.Meantime,it introduces the paper’s research purpose,meaning,the research methods and theory,and explain corpus’ s source,and illustrate the use of the signs.Chapter 1 is the summary of the adverb of the early Mandrin.In it,the paper introduces the selection,composition and types of adverbs in this study.And,it also introduces the synchronic results of the distribution of adverbs in early modern and contemporary Chinese and the general principles that restrict the expression of human beings,which are closely related to the study.At the same time,the paper explain the reason why the grammatical environment of the divided into simple and complex sentences,and explain the operators and constraint elements.Chapter 2 is the adverb’s sentence distribution in simple sentence.In it,the paper describes the normal and abnormal conditions and characteristics in the distribution of adverbs’ sentence positions,and indicates its influence or restriction.Chapter 3 is the adverb’s sentence distribution in complex sentence.The chapter describes further in the more complete grammatical factors of complex sentences,and explain the distribution,situation and causes of adverbs.Chapter 4 is the redundancy,misuse and default of adverbs.The chapter describes the characteristics and causes of the four types of pragmatic problems in the use of adverbs in simple and complex sentences.Chapter 5 is the usage characteristics and causes of adverbs.In the paper,thedistribution of adverbs in early Mandrin is put on the latter-day and modern Chinese,and the situation and characteristics are explained.And,from the development of the Chinese,the contact of language,the classical Chinese written expressions and the rise and fall of vernacular,the paper makes a limited explanation of its characteristics and causes.Chapter 6 is conclusion.The chapter makes a brief summary of the use of adverbs in early Mandrin,including the types of adverbs involved and their sentence position distribution,redundancy,misuse and default,etc.Meantime,the paper gives a brief explanation of the research’s deficiencies.
