A Report On Consecutive Interpreting Practice Of Cooperation Conference Between Music School Of SNU And AMK:Consecutive Interpreting Strategies Under The Guidance Of Nord's Function Plus Loyalty

The report is selected from the author's real interpretation practice at the School of Music of Shenyang Normal University.Under the Function plus Loyalty theory,the author attempts to analyze and reflect on the interpreting practice.This report explores the problems encountered by the author in this practice and proposes some feasible coping strategies.This interpreting practice is a consecutive interpreting for the conference.Its content is mostly related to music and art.Under the guidance of Nord's function plus loyalty theory,the author studies the process of English-Chinese consecutive interpreting.The author analyzes the application of function plus loyalty theory.And he finds that in this practice,the problem of high information density,complexity of source language and too many terms affect the quality of the target language.Therefore,based on the study,this practice was systematically analyzed.And he finds that the information density of source language is high,the complexity of source language is high,and the terminology is too much.In order to solve these three problems,the author proposes three feasible strategies,namely,addition,omission and paraphrase in order to achieve functional equivalence and loyalty to the source language.
