As an emerging industry,China's cultural and creative industries make important contributions to the rapid economic growth. The establishment of the Confucius Institute is a new and important part of the “going out” development strategy in the new era.Confucius Institutes and Chinese cultural and creative products have certain synergies. This thesis compares the growth of China's exports of cultural and creative products between Confucius Institute countries and non-Confucius Institute countries from 2010 to 2016,and finds that not only does China export more to Confucius Institutes countries than non-Confucius Institute countries, but also China exports Growth faster to Confucius Institute countries. Therefore,to explore the influence mechanism of the Confucius Institute on the influence of China's cultural and creative products on export trade, and explore how to reasonably plan the development of the Confucius Institute, which has important theoretical and practical significance for promoting export trade and enhancing China's soft power.Through the review of combing domestic and foreign scholars, the thesis pointed out that scholars have conducted many useful explorations on the impact of Confucius Institutes and Chinese cultural and creative products on export trade. But the deficiency is the theoretical support. The author analyzed the four aspects of demand cultivation effects, supply guidance effects, platform effects, and cultural difference stabilization effects based on my own experience and my own understanding. The following hypotheses have been put forward.Subsequently, the panel data of 140 countries from 2010 to 2016 were used to introduce the Confucius Institute variable to construct an extended gravitational model. The hypothesis was tested through empirical analysis, and the variables such as population size, economic freedom, and trade openness were controlled. The following conclusions are drawn: First, the Confucius Institute has a positive export growth effect.Second, the establishment of Confucius Institutes prefers countries(regions)with a high level of economic development, but the export growth effect is not good.Third, the export trade effect of the Confucius Institute shows intercontinental differences.Fourth, the export trade effect of the Confucius Institute showed product heterogeneity.Based on the above research results, this thesis proposes targeted policy recommendations.
