The Study On Counter-Expectation Marker "Meichengxiang" In Modern Chinese

This thesis is concerned with the modern Chinese counter-expectation marker "meichengxiang" based on the counter-expectation theory,and other theories including information theory,relevance theory and markedness theory to systematically describe and investigate the discourse distribution type,counter-expectation type,felicity condition,counter-expectation function of "meichengxiang".From the synchronic level,pragmaticalization process and mechanism of "meichengxiang" are discussed,and put "meichengxiang" in counter-expectation markers “Xchengxiang” word family,a comparative analysis of the similarities and differences among "buchengxiang" "shuichengxiang" "nachengxiang".The "meichengxiang",a case study of the counter-expectation markers,can not only deepen the understanding of modern Chinese counter-expectation markers,it also can promote the study of counter-expectation theory in Chinese,provide some reference for the research of academic phenomenon of counter-expectation.The main contents of this thesis are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly clarifies the origin of the topic,the relevant research status,research methods and corpus sources.The second chapter is discourse distribution of "meichengxiang".According to the form of expectation information and counter-expectation information,discourse distribution type of "meichengxiang" is divided into five types,and we explain common features and the frequency difference of different distribution types from the cognitive model,accessibility.The third chapter is the counter-expectation type marked by "meichengxiang".According to the different subjects of "meichengxiang",we divide the "meichengxiang" counter-expectation type into three types,and classify the different counter-expectation types according to the specific content of the expectation information.The fourth chapter is about the felicity condition and counter-expectation marking function of "meichengxiang".We analyze the felicity condition of "meichengxiang" from the stylistic distribution and felicity context,and through this,suggesting that "meichengxiang" have two counter-expectation marking functions of marking opposite congitive orientation and marking measurement change before and after.The fifth chapter is pragmaticalization process and mechanism of "meichengxiang".From the synchronic perspective,we combine with the textual function and lexical meaning of "meichengxiang" to analyze pragmaticalization process of "meichengxiang",from the subjectivisation,reanalysis,salience explains the pragmaticalization mechanism of "meichengxiang".The sixth chapter is the comparison of "meichengxiang" and "buchengxiang" "shuichengxiang" "nachengxiang".We focus on the perspective of neutralization to analyze "meichengxiang" and "buchengxiang" in common,from the counterexpectation degree and usage to analyze "meichengxiang" and "shuichengxiang" "nachengxiang".In conclusion,the thesis summarizes main viewpoints,innovations and inadequacy.
