Nowadays, the competition among countries all over the world is not only the competition between hard power represented by economy and technology, but also the competition of soft power represented by culture. To a certain extent,we must say that if we want to win in the competition of soft power,we must promote culture externally.Language is not only a tool of external promotion, but also one of the soft power of national culture.Nowadays, all countries are making various efforts to popularize their languages.Although all countries are spreading the language on the banner of "international exchange" or "cultural exchange",few countries have clearly expressed their orientation to language promotion activities. The positioning of language promotion activities is like a banner.I believe that language promotion activities must be defined to ensure that language promotion activities are not divorced from its original intention. This paper focuses on Japanese Language Education in Japan in Asia, and studies Japanese language education from 1950 s to 1990 s in three stages according to the different positioning of Japanese Language Education in each period. From 1950 s to late 1960 s,late 1960 s to late 1970 s,and late 1970 s to 1990 s.In this paper, the situation of Japanese society and the general situation of Japanese language education from 1950 s to 1990 s are combed. On this basis, the most important historical events in Japanese language education at various periods are analyzed in combination with the situation of postwar Japanese society. The orientation of education and the purpose of implementing Japanese education in Japan after the war.In other words,it examines the course of Japanese language education from 1950 s to 1990 s,and finds its orientation in Japanese language education and the realtime adjustment made, and summarizes the lessons from it.Generally speaking,Japanese education from 1950 s to 1990 s is based on the social status of Japan.Specifically,Japanese Language Education in Japan from 1950 s to 1990 s has the following characteristics: first, starting from the specific social problems and ultimately serving the national interests of Japan.Second, unilaterally emphasize the understanding of other countries through Japanese language education.Third, use language education as a tool. The author suggests that China should make contributions to the prosperity of the world as well as the well-being of the whole human being, while considering the national interests of our country in the process of language popularization. The relationship between language and culture should be paid more attention to,two-way language communication should be paid to the language, and language promotion activities should be reviewed and adjusted in time.
