Understanding As Translation

"Understanding as Translation" is a famous assertion in history.After Steiner carried it forward in the practice of translation,this discourse became more widespread,and the hermeneutical methods contained in it did indeed expand the field for the development of translation theory,and even formed the theoretical school of translation theory of interpretation.At the same time,it should be pointed out that hermeneutics' own research purport is not in translation theory.Steiner's research on hermeneutic inheritance is for his own theoretical needs,and he prefers to guide translation practice through the methods of hermeneutics.It is precisely for this reason that the hermeneutics of philosophy is concealed under the method of hermeneutics.The universality of hermeneutics has always been contained in hermeneutics' own development and has been continuously deepened.Schleiermacher and Dilthey will understand the methodology as a spiritual science,which has made their hermeneutics universal,and Heidegger and Gadamer have deepened hermeneutics through the understanding of the principles of historical effects.The universality deepens the universality of hermeneutics into ontology.The author will trace the origin of translation and interpretation,and show the hermeneutic concept of translation from the perspective of philosophical hermeneutics.
