A Study On The Supervisory Mechanism Of Government Officials’ Projects In The Qing Dynasty

Supervision is an important part of the management of the Qing Dynasty constrction.It is a guarantee of whether the project can be completed in time,qualifiedly and economically.According to the records of the Qing Dynasty’s construction management system and practices as documented in the archives of the Qing Dynasty,"The Record of the Qing Dynasty",The Great Qing Code and other literature,the supervision of the construction of the Qing Dynasty covered three major links: project establishment,construction process and acceptance.Every step is strictly examined and supervised for the technical standards,pattern design,material use,expenditures,and the service of craftsmen of the project.After research,it was found that the project supervision system of the Qing Dynasty was very strict.The pre-project evaluation,the mid-term project supervision,and the later-stage project acceptance were all responsibilities of the relevant officials.They were not affiliated with each other,and were rewarded and punished in order to ensure the effectiveness of supervision.The level of social governance in the Qing Dynasty has a positive effect on current building management.
