Culture Exchanges And Prospects Between China And Myanmar Since The National League For Democracy Came To Power

Culture exchanges are conducive to strengthening understanding among peoples of all countries,increasing friendship,promoting People-to-people bond and play a positive role in promoting the development of state relations.Through culture exchanges,it is possible to improve the national image,enhance the national soft power and increase international influence,and enrich the national ideology and culture.The thesis chooses the culture exchanges and prospects between China and Myanmar in since the national league for democracy came to power as the research object mainly for three reasons.First,the Sino-Myanmar culture exchanges have important strategic significance for the long-term and friendly development of the relations between the two countries.The second is that since April 1,2016,The National League for Democracy led by Aung San Suu Kyi,as the ruling party has come into power,an epoch of the political period in Myanmar,which is of epoch-making significance.The third is based on the actual requirements of the current "One Belt and One Road" initiative.The thesis is a basic research on Sino-Myanmar culture exchanges since the national league for democracy came to power,including the historical background of Sino-Myanmar communication,the current situation of the development of Sino-Myanmar culture exchanges since the national league for democracy came to power,the analysis of the influencing factors.In this era,the explorations of the challenges and prospects of Sino-Myanmar culture exchanges and the countermeasures and suggestions made by the author.The full text structure consists of five chapters and epilogue.The first chapter is the introduction part.The author summarizes the background of thesis selection,the present situation of academic research,the innovation and difficulties of the thesis,the methods of academic research and the arrangement of the thesis structure.And then will unfold in the remaining three chapters.The second chapter is the historical tracing.Based on previous studies ofhistorical records,the author has made a longitudinal study on three aspects: historical Sino-Myanmar art exchanges,Buddhist cultural exchanges,and language translation exchanges.The author used the representative events in the history of culture exchanges between China and Myanmar as a reference,trying to clarify the historical development context of the above three aspects,which can provide new ideas for the study of the history of Sino-Myanmar culture exchanges.The third chapter is a review of the current situation.In retrospect on culture,education,youth,sports,media,health care,science and technology,tourism,and localities and other aspects,the author sorts out the current situation of Sino-Myanmar communication in the new era and summarizes the achievements through culture exchanges between China and Myanmar.In the new era,the fields and ways of the Sino-Myanmar cultural exchange are more abundant than before.They have made great progress and breakthroughs in various fields,and exchanges and cooperation between local regions have been deepening.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the influencing factors,which are mainly divided into two aspects: favorable factors and unfavorable factors.China and Myanmar have a profound historical foundation of cultural exchanges and outstanding geographic advantages.They share common needs for cultural exchanges and also have a larger space for development.In addition,China's “One Belt and One Road Initiative” and other policies provide a further platform for Sino-Myanmar cultural exchanges.The Sino-Myanmar cultural exchanges have broad prospects of development.On the other hand,between the two countries also have problems with lack of mutual understanding,lack of high-level talents,lack of exchanges among private organizations and lack of exchange mechanisms.The culture exchanges are facing the unfavorable factors such as the difficulties of domestic and foreign affairs of the new NLD government and the poor infrastructure of cultural exchange,it can be said that opportunities and challenges existed together.The fifth chapter provides suggestions and countermeasures to the problems existing in the culture exchanges between the two countries in the new era.First of all,through in-depth study of Myanmar,the "Belt and Road Initiative" and otherprinciples and policies,formulate strategies for the development of Sino-Myanmar culture exchanges.At the same time,it is necessary to upgrade China's international transmission capabilities in Myanmar,promote the building of the Sino-Myanmar cultural exchanges mechanism,explore the parallel modes of civil servants and civilians,attach importance to the study of the public opinion of Myanmar,effectively avoid one-way spread of culture,and continue to promote the development of culture exchanges in various fields between China and Myanmar.
