Vocational education is an important part of the process of construction and development of education.English is a basic course,it is compulsory in secondary vocational school,as an important course to enhance the comprehensive ability of using language.Secondary vocational English has taken on the important task of mastering knowledge,maintaining quality and developing culture.At present,the majority of our English language teaching in secondary vocational schools shows their development is not balanced,scientific and comprehensive.Vocational students have not formed a good habit of learning English.In addition,the inadequate development of regional economy requires low vocational students' job skills.Vocational students are vulnerable to the influence of practical value.The majority of secondary vocational schools ignore the process of learning achievement evaluation.In view of this,changing the existing single evaluation mode,focusing on the supervision of students' learning process,using formative assessment to optimize the English teaching process in secondary vocational schools,and gradually affecting the initiative and creativity of secondary vocational school students in learning English have become a new direction for the development of secondary vocational English teaching.This paper first analyzes the current situation of secondary vocational English teaching and evaluation process,and compares the research status and achievements of secondary vocational English at home and abroad,so as to clarify the research objectives.Through the definition of the concept,the research status of the two contents is analyzed,and the definition and ideas of the paper are defined.The experimental research plan has been worked out,the self assessment form of English learning motivation for secondary vocational school students has been compiled,and a questionnaire survey has been carried out on the experimental student group.The survey shows that secondary vocational school students' learning motivation is not strong.According to the problems found,using the relevant assessment tools of formative assessment,the author conducted a series of experiments,the evaluation results for a period of one academic year statistics,and experimental operation after the evaluation on the students' motivation to learn English again,then carefully analyzed the variance before and after the two tests.In the course of English Teaching in secondary vocational schools,the use of formative evaluation not only can change the students' passive learning state and form a positive and effective learning motivation,but also is easier to be accepted by most students.The results can provide a more scientific basis for teachers' teaching.
