"Rustic And Fashionable" Town Youth

Setting the youth in a small town in video works about the Chinese social reality as an example,such as Jia Zhangke's films,a documentary,Manufactured Landscapes,Yan Ming's Country of Ambition,and Michael Wolf and other foreign photographers' works,the thesis is about in an era of rapid development,current situations of small potatoes at the Chinese society bottom.“Being both rustic and of Western style” is a result of local culture colliding also integrating with foreign culture,conforming to images of small potatoes at the Chinese society bottom in the current era.Based on the current situation of the society and the current situation of the society,the current situation of the youth group in the “both rustic and of Western style” town in the context of China's urbanization is considered.With the above works as an example,three parts have been summarized by classifying as cases of the thesis analysis,also related questions have been raised.Firstly,through case narrating about real youth in towns and counties,What is the image of the young people living in the towns and counties under the realistic environment? Finally,In the rapid development of large countries and the construction of cities,for some small town youth groups,the old land began to fade away in geographical units and spiritual fields.through cases,in the rapid times development,how does town youth “both rustic and of Western style” chase after the former homeland and homesickness?By synthesizing cases in videos,with analyzing the current social conditions,art works and various theory subjects,questions separately raised in cases have been answered.Firstly,through analyzing “rustic” genes and rustic quality of town youth “both rustic and of Western style”,with their growth experience,the radical property of town youth “both rustic and of Western style” has been answered by town experience.Secondly,due to city development demands,plenty of town and county youth has swarmed into cities,the influence of cities on town and county youth has been explained.Finally,town youth formerly setting homelands as their foundations,in an era of rapid development,has changed remote homelands into homesickness.To sum up,on the road of China's urbanization process,the history witnessed is that the "rustic and fashionable" town youth can go from the original "elegance" to the real "fashion",and go from the pattern of a rural society to the pattern of urban.In the spiritual aspect,the pure and single value and world outlooks have expanded to more diversified values and world outlooks.
