The Phonation Types Study Of Cantonese Tone From EGG Signals

This paper explores phonation signalsof Cantonese pathological,single and double syllable wordby electroglottography,EGG.The purpose of this paper is to explore the phonation type in Cantonese tone by the relevant voice parameters from the EGG signal.The paper describes and summarizesdistinguishing feature with phonation type between nine tones in Cantonese with the voice parameters processed with the help of SPSS,Excel and other statistical tools,There are nine chapters in this paper.The first chapter is a review about the study in the tones of Cantonese and the phonation types of other dialects in Chinese dialects.The second chapter introduces the process of the experimental and data collection and extractionandfastens down the sense of a term in phonation type study.The third chapter makes a comparative study of the pathological voice and normal voice of Cantonese native speakers.The fourth chapter and and the fifth chaptermainly introduce the study of the single syllable tone sound of the Cantonese speaking in the young and old.The phonation types of syllables are summarized with the basis of the fourth and fifth chapters in the sixth chapter.In a word,the phonation types of Cantonese in one syllableremained fairly uniform.The tone types in the long tone are focus on the beginning and the end of tone.The most prominent of the phonation types are Yangping tone,and there are inclinations of breathy in end of Yinping tone and Yinshang tone and the most normal voice is happened in Yinqu and Yangqu tone.The creaky voice is typical tone types in short tone.The seventh chapter is a description of the phonation mode of the double tone in Cantonese.The eighth chapter is a summary about the phonation types of double syllable in the Cantonese.The phonation types of double syllable are more complicated than one syllable.There are three type of tone sandhi in the Cantonese.The phonation types of tone sandhi are different from the one syllable tone.There are vocal fry or creaky voice at the beginning of tone sandhi..The last chapter is the conclusion,and then this chapter also makes a discussion about cofusing phenomenon between Yangping,Yinshang,and Yangshang tone based on the phonatione types of three tones.Based on a large voice signal corpus,this paper makes a more comprehensive analysis and interpretation of the phonation types of Guangzhou Cantonese in terms of age,gender and special pathological conditions.
