Family precept is the reference standard for the family education,which has an important influence upon the development of personal virtue.The original idea of drafting the family precept is derived from the traditional family values inheritance,such as life skills,personal cultivation,moral education and more.It finally becomes to a kind of culture.The ruling class writes the mainstream values of the current society into their family precept and set this as the standard to teach every member in the family.As a significant way of expression,the family precept embodies a sort of connotation of Chinese traditional culture.At the same time,it contains rich ideological and moral education content,which is quite vital to the construction of modern moral education.Zeng Guofan was a very controversial figure in the late Qing Dynasty.Undoubtedly,half of his life got praise and rest of it got lots of blame.It is admitted that Mr.Zeng has contributed his whole life in developing his country to be prosperous.On the other side,he is regarded as a "traitor".However,No matter how people think of him,they all admire and recommend his family precept.Therefore,it is not only a book of record of all his family letters,but also a gathering that contains secrets of how to manage this big family and teach his children to behave and establish in the society.In the modern Chinese history,Zeng Guofan is considered as a model of family moral education.Until now,his educational ideology is still commendatory and inherited by countless Chinese families.Its value can be seen.Therefore,as the most of crucial elements which are Zeng Guofan’s family precept and the guide of Marx’s historical materialism,both of them stand for this paper.It also centers on ideological and political education,as well as related subject theory to be more accurately to seize the main value and thought of moral education from this family precept.It also aims to enrich other aspects of theory of the modern family moral education and try to make it more comprehensive,and it will absolutely provide a strong theoretical support throughout the paper.This article is compromised by four sections.The first chapter will be the introduction.It mainly on the background,purpose and significance of the research,the research status quo,research methods,research difficulties and innovation.The second chapter analyzes the current situation of moral education in Chinese family and the reasons behind.It will combine the real case of the lack of family moral education,such as Empty Nester and education problems of single parents’ children in order to remind the thoughts of the Ideological and moral education from the traditional family precepts.Additionally,the last section from the second part briefly summarizes the reasons why Zeng Guofan’s family precept could become to a model in traditional Chinese family.It also connects and introduces the third Chapter.The third part specifically elaborates and analyzes Zeng Guofan’s family precept from its origin of thought,main contents,features,and another four aspects of thought limitation.The fourth chapter is going to summarize the moral education thoughts of Zeng Guofan to explore the moral enlightenment to the contemporary Chinese family,and clearly propose the related enhancement approach straightforward.
