As a “giant of the cultural consciousness of the universe”,Tang Junyi’s Thought connotation between Chinese and western ancient and modern.And he creatively draw lessons from the high quality culture of all parties.Both his philosophical and cultural space,or his aesthetic thought,has absorbed the essence of all the ancient and modern Chinese and foreign ideas,and has carried out a creative modern interpretation.Therefore,Combing his aesthetic thoughts is very important for us to systematically and comprehensively grasp its aesthetic thought and taste his aesthetic spirit.This thesis consists of five chapters,firstly give a summary of Tang Junyi’s aesthetic thoughts,and then discusses the ideological origins between the aesthetics of Tang Junyi with Confucianism represented by Xun-Zi,Buddhism represented by Hua-yen philosophy,western philosophical thought represented by Hagel and Taoism represented by Chuang-tzu.The first chapter gives an overview of Tang Junyi’s aesthetic thought.The noumenon of mind is the philosophical foundation of Tang Junyi’s aesthetic thought.On the one hand,the consciousness of seeking beauty originated from the moral mind;on the other hand,all cultural activities are based on the support of moral self.Based on this,Tang Junyi believes that by natural emotional displays six forms of beauty,they are the natural beauty,art beauty and art beauty,literary beauty,divine beauty,character beauty or personality beauty,and the beauty of human customs.In the aesthetic thought of Tang Junyi,he has always been to the beauty of personality as the highest aesthetic ideal,to construct the natural beauty,artistic beauty to increase the beauty of personality of the road,this is the soul of self transcendence to history.And his highest beauty,the beauty of personality which is essentially the continuation of Confucius’ s “benevolence” aesthetics.The second chapter discusses the inheritance of Tang Junyi’s aesthetic thought to the traditional Confucian thought.As a representative of the new Confucianism,Tang Junyi’s ideological tone is naturally the traditional Confucian thought.Among this,especially Xunzi’s aesthetic thought has the greatest influence on it.Tang Junyi’s aesthetic thought and Xun-zi’s aesthetic thought have great agreement in three aspects: the origin of beauty consciousness,the thought of rite and music and the idea of personality beauty.However,Tang Junyi did not escape from the framework of Confucius and Mencius’ study of the nature of his mind.In addition to the inheritance of Xun-zi’s aesthetics,he expound much more.First of all,Tang Junyi further combed the relationship between the pursuit of beauty and the consciousness of seeking truth after recognizing the origin of the beauty of beauty.Secondly,Tang Junyi’s pursuit of “ beauty of leisurely and carefree”,this is a kind of external conditions and objective beyond the utilitarian realm.It is quite different from the super utilitarian nature of Xun-zi’s neglect of beauty.Finally,in the way of accomplishment of personality beauty,though Tang Junyi drew lessons from Xun-zi’s theory,he still followed Confucius and Mencius pursuit of the lofty spirit of individual personality.The third chapter discusses the Buddhist Origin of Tang Junyi’s aesthetic thought.The philosophical basis of Tang Junyi’s aesthetic thought is the noumenon of mind.Tang Junyi’s the noumenon of mind takes the length of the ancient and modern Chinese and western families.Among those,Hua-yen philosophy played a key role in the formation of Tang Junyi’s the noumenon of mind.On the thought of the whole philosophical system,Tang Junyi on the construction of “moral self” from the thought “The teaching of nature-generation”.First proof the existence of the noumenon of mind,then through contemplate to affirm it is the unique one.In addition,the formation of Tang Junyi’s thought of philosophy of Hua-yen effects are also reflected in the theoretical characteristics,unique philosophy of harmony Hua-yen trait in many aspects penetrate into the thought of Tang Junyi.However,Tang Junyi uphold the “Taking Buddha to the Confucianism ” cultural ideas.On the basis of Confucian orthodoxy,he paid enough attention to the value of Buddhist philosophy and explained and absorbed it in the construction of his thought system.The fourth chapter is combing the origin of Tang Junyi’s aesthetic thought and Western philosophical thought.Tang Junyi’s mind realm is influenced by the three paragraph of Hagel’s philosophy in form.He set out a huge spiritual philosophy system based on his three different activities,namely,the outward looking,self introspection and transcendence pursuit.Similar to the attitude of Buddhism,Tang Junyi looked at Hagel’s ideas based on the Confucian Perspective.First of all,Tang Junyi’s mind realm is still essentially different from Hagel’s philosophy.On the one hand,Tang Junyi in the three to nine heart exit view although draws on the theory of Hagel’s model of positive and negative,but they are different in essence;on the other hand,the relationship between the Tang Junyi’s mind realm is a kind of implicit explicit relationship,which is different with Hagel’s dialectical contradictory relationship.Secondly,unlike Hagel,who regards philosophy as the highest culture,Tang Junyi believes that morality is the center of culture.His point of view is the inheritance of Kant’s spirit,but this view is actually based on the persistence of traditional Confucianism.The fifth chapter discusses the influence of Chuang-tzu’s Thought on Tang Junyi’s aesthetic thought.Tang Junyi pursuits the “beauty of leisurely and carefree”.In his view,“You”,as the core of Chinese artistic spirit,is very rich in its connotation.On the one hand,the art of “You” has the characteristics of virtual and real,implicit and multum in parvo.On the other hand,Tang Junyi’s “you” is a kind of spiritual shackles which is some leisure and then supernatural.The elaboration of the spiritual connotation of “You” above Tang Junyi is more consistent with the interpretation of Chuang-tzu’s “unfettered Tour”.Tang Junyi’s interpretation of Zhuang-zi’s “unfettered Tour” is concentrated on the use of useless,small and big argument,and universality excursion.In general,Tang Junyi has clearly accepted the spiritual connotation of Chuang-tzu’s “unfettered Tour”.However,the ultimate goal of Tang Junyi’s “You”is the traditional Confucian thought.His “You” is a modern interpretation of Confucius’ s “Practise in Art”.The purpose of“You”is to edify the temperament through art,so that people’s mind can be settled in the present. |
