| International Working Women’s Day stemmed from a socialist movement in the very late nineteenth and early twentieth century,when western workwomen fought for their own rights.The Communist International and socialist party were in full charge of commemoration of International Working Women’s Day since the early 1920 s.The festival was marked with the imprint of socialist after it was given an aura of freedom pursued by workingwomen all over the world.Introduced by the representatives of the communist international and influenced by national revolution,International Working Women’s Day has gradually become a vital women movement in China.Taking commemoration of International Working Women’s Day guided by Chinese Communist Party from 1921 to 1949 as main content,the thesis explored the specific operation mode of how CCP commemorated the festival and briefly discussed in three aspects by collecting,analyzing and summarizing forms of commemorative activities in different times.The first part aimed to introduce content and theme of commemorative activities of International Working Women’s Day held by CCP and highlight the characteristics of the times and the working style of CCP which took the festival as an entry point.The second one was intended to conclude and analyze various activity types and modes of International Working Women’s Day and describe each activity of different times in detail with the help of historical materials,thus to elaborate reasons why CCP adopted different modes.The third one was aimed at analyzing the function and effect of these commemoration with the purpose of indicating that commemoration of International Working Women’s Day served as the main way for CCP to stimulate women to take part in political events.Besides,commemoration of International Working Women’s Day offered a favorable opportunity for CCPto coordinate inter-party relationship and get international support in special historical period and assisted CCP in promoting women’s work and liberation. |
