A Study On Dialect Of Hui Nationality In Chang Shan Zi,Mi Dong,Urumuqi

Changshanzi Town is a part of the Midong District of Urumqi City,Xinjiang Province,which has the most people in Midong District;and the numble of Hui people accounts for about 58.5% of the total population of the town.In recent years,dialectologists start to in-depth study Northwest Chinese dialect and gradually began to study the language used by Hui people.As one of the few Hui people gathering places in Xinjiang,Midong District has very significant values in Hui ethnic and linguistic studies.According to Xing Xiangdong's Survey Mannual in the “National Atlas of Chinese Dialects in Northwest China”(15ZDB106),a major bidding project of the National Social Science Fund,this paper collaborates with local cooperators to conduct a field study on vocabulary,grammar and pronunciation.Moreover,this paper conducts a systematic description on the dialects' pronunciation and vocabulary used by Hui people in this town.This paper can be divided into four chapters:The first chapter is an introduction.It briefly describes the research status of Xinjiang dialects and Northwest Chinese dialects,introduces the history,geography,population,and language of Changshanzi Town,and explains the research and investigation.The second chapter is the phonetic part,which mainly describes the single-letter syllables(consonants,vowels,and tones)and linguistic tone changes of the Hui dialect in Changshanzi Town,and compares the evolutionary relationship among the sound,rhyme,tone,and melodies of Hui dialect in the town.The third chapter is mainly about the grammar.It focuses on the structural characteristics of the nouns of Hui dialect in Changshanzi Town,introduces the special(but not exclusive)pronouns,adverbs,prepositions,auxiliary words and modal particle of Hui dialect in the town,and discusses the appearance of verbs and some special sentence patterns.The fourth chapter is the vocabulary section,which mainly elaborates the basicvocabulary used in Hui dialects of Changshanzi Town,which related folk custom vocabularies(marriage,festivals,religions,etc.),oral tradition vocabularies(proverbs,colloquialism,two-part allegorical saying,novel,etc.)and their characteristics analysis.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.
