Analysis On The Music And Key Points Of Grieg's Piano Lyrics

Grieg's Piano Lyrics is a collection of 66 musical pieces of Nordic and Norwegian national characteristics,each is different in style.Most of them try to depict the scenery,customs and his personal feelings towards Norway.Every work is exquisite,delicate,with a touch from the Romantic Period and no lack of ethnic flavors.This This paper raises a discussion in regard to music and performance on 2 pieces in Piano Lyrics,Homecoming and Trod Hagen's Wedding Day,based on personal feelings.The paper consists of an introduction and three chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces Grieg as a composer and his Piano Lyrics.The second takes the explanation of his musical form and structure as a start,analyzing the characteristics of Grieg's music in detail,along with the expression of emotions.In the third chapter,the author conducts a performance analysis particularly on the above-mentioned 2 pieces by using his own piano playing experience.
