Borges is a famous writer in Argentina.In his youth,Borges devoted himself to the creation of literary works that represented the characteristics of Argentina.He chose Buenos Aires as his object of creation.Especially his early poems and prose works showed his attention to Buenos Aires.Taking Borges’ writing of Buenos Aires as the object of study,this paper discusses Borges as a national writer from the aspects of the background,text presentation and connotation of Buenos Aires writing.The value and significance of Buenos Aires Writing.First,analyze Borges’ writing background in Buenos Aires.The development of Buenos Aires’ s modernization touched Borges,which was the external driving force for Borges to write Buenos Aires.Borges was full of feelings for Buenos Aires.Buenos Aires is not only his hometown,but also the history of his family.Secondly,from the spatial dimension and the time dimension,this paper expounds the urban content of the city of Buenos Aires presented by Borges in his works.Streets,squares,and cemeteries are urban images that belong to the spatial dimension.Urban stories and history belong to the time dimension of urban writing.In addition,explain the connotation of Borges writing Buenos Aires.Behind the writing of these city images,it reflects Borges’ s search for the lost homes and the exploration of its metaphysical significance.He also shows that as an Argentine writer,he wanted to build national identity by creating literary works that represent Argentina.Finally,I will sort out the significance of Borges Buenos Aires writing.The writing of Buenos Aires shows Borges’ reflection on modernization and how to preserve Argentine national characteristics in the process of modernization.Writings on Buenos Aires had a certain influence on Buenos Aires in reality.
