Research On The Performance Of Humor In The Cartoon Character

The unique feature of the animation art is that the movement is performed by painting,which makes each character as a carrier of the movement becoming an integral part of the animation creation.The significant achievement of the animation creation is to gain audiences' understanding and acceptance;therefore,the original spirit of cartoonists and the profound meaning of stories could be conveyed to audiences.Creating a humorous character,not only does it allows animation art has more affinity but also vivid characters.As a result,comic characters could promote audiences' interest and reflective thinking,which enhances the vitality of the animation works.In the outstanding foreign animation works,American and Japanese animation has formed unique artistic style.Moreover,these distinctive characters with the sense of humour have won audiences' favour worldwide.In contrast,in recent years,Chinese animation has neglected the use of humour in the visual sense under the intense pressure and challenge.Research in the relative field rarely focused in the way of humour expression.Consequently,at present,based on the increasing development of science and technology and aesthetic needs,how to create humour characters who process charismatic personality,meanwhile,integrate into Chinese culture,and loved by audiences from different age groups is the urgent problem of the development of animation in China.This article examines the value of humour in character design through a discussion of the approach to injecting humour into the character.The discussion here explores that the convergence of significant and unique role in animation.The article,through the differentiate between different conveyance of humour under diverse artistic style and culture background,argues that the humour has significant contributions in portraying distinctive and featured characters by using various sources of humour.This paper can be classified into seven sections.In the introduction part,it introduces the background and the significance of research,followed by the overview of the main contents and the innovation of the research topic.The second section presents the different type of humorous expression and points out that humour has the function of confirming the animation style and enhancing the characters' vitality.The third section begins with analysing the presenting of differentiated humour under diverse artistic style.Section four and section five are the critical sections.Section four illustrates the humour performance in characters' personalities,actions,the relationship between sound and picture,scheduling,shadow and colour.Section five demonstrates the method that produces humour for character design,which includes four aspects: the character-establishing senses,the role of modelling,the expression design and the action design.
