The Study On The Performing Arts Characteristics Of Intangible Cultural Heritage-Shijiazhang Si'xian Opera

In today's society,intangible cultural heritage has become a part of the cultural construction,and it is an essential part of the national cultural development strategy.In 2006 with the Shijiazhuang Si'xian was named the “intangible cultural heritage” project.Then,Shijiazhuang Si'xian Opera has returned to become the focus of the public.As the “living” fossil of culture,Shijiazhuang Si'xian Opera once again stepped into the public view,being loved by the public.Si'xian Opera is very popular throughout the Hebei region.According to the regional range and it could be further divided into five genres.For example,Xian County and Gaoyang of Cangzhou in the east,Heshun County and Cuoyang County in the west and Shahe County of Xingtai in the South,they all have developed different genres.The one being studied in this paper is the “Midlands Si'xian”,which is the central and the most well-developed genre.Prevailing on the lands of Yan and Zhao,Shijiazhuang Si'xian Opera is an important category of Hebei's unique singing characteristics.In ancient times,Shijiazhuang Si'xian Opera was accompanied by the instrument of strings(known as “Xian” in Chinese),therefore,it was also referred to as “Xianzi Tune” or “Xiansuo Tune”,and it is a unique category of opera only within Hebei.The study of Shijiazhuang Si'xian Opera has great significance no matter from the historical perspective or art and cultural perspective.Meanwhile,to protect the heritage and develop Si'xian Opera with subjective initiative is also of great importance.The main boy of the paper has five chapters except for the abstract and concluding remarks.First chapter is the introduction,in which the rationale of the study are introduced.It comprehensively addresses the importance and significance of studying the art characteristics of Si'xian Opera from many aspects,including its historical value,artistic value and cultural value,etc,.In addition,this part analyzes the results of many previous studies and offers a list of articles which have great influence on the author.At the end,the research methods used in the study are summarized.The second chapter elaborates the origin of Si'xian Opera and three stages in its development from the historical perspective as well as the different traditional performing genres.In the third chapter,taking Guan Tune and Yue Tune as two examples,this part mainly focuses on two aspects: the music for voices and the types of metre for music,as well as the styles of tonality and the arrangement of band accompaniment.Through the two aspects,the research further discusses the music performing features of the intangible cultural heritage,Shijiazhuang Si'xian Opera.In the fourth chapter,with living examples,it discusses the stage performing features of the intangible cultural heritage,Shijiazhuang Si'xian Opera through three aspects: the language structures and characteristics of the libretto,the personality of characters and the corresponding performing features,and the clothing design and color application.The fifth chapter puts forward the solutions to current problems and predicts the development in the future for Shijiazhuang Si'xian Opera from the perspectives of the national culture policy,local government,theater,the audience.
