The theory of mind(TOM)refers to the ability of individuals to understand themselves and other people's wishes, intentions and beliefs and other psychological states, and then to explain and predict the behavior of others. The study of TOM has always been an important aspect of psychology research. The object of early research is children, and now the research object is gradually extended to adults, involving the entire life. The paradigm of TOM continues to evolve and change. The traditional task paradigm has the problems of being small in scope and can not explore the performance of TOM in the real interaction. Therefore, some researchers put forward the use of game theory to study the individual's ability. The theoretical basis of the game paradigm is "cognitive level model",meaning that every player thinks his reasoning level is higher than others. The relationship between TOM and other psychological functions is also an important aspect of the study of TOM.Emotion is an important individual variable that has an important influence on an individual's social cognition. The mechanism of the influence of emotion and emotion regulation on TOM is not yet clear.Based on the existing research, this study explores the influence of emotion and emotion regulation strategies of different nature on TOM ability of college students.Divided into three experiments, the first experiment using single-factor design,inter-experimental design experiments to explore the different types of emotions(positive emotions, negative emotions, neutral emotions)on the theory of college students psychological differences. In experiment two,the influence of different subliminal emotions(positive emotions, negative emotions, neutral emotions)on college students' TOM was studied by using single factor experiment design, experiment design among subjects, and experiment.Based on the experimental results, the differences between the suprathreshold and subthreshold emotions on TOM were compared.Experiment 3 adopts mixed design to explore the influence of differentemotion regulation strategies on TOM under different kinds of emotions. The experimental results are as follows:(1)The positive emotions, the negative emotions and the neutral emotions selected in the Chinese emotion library compiled by Luo Yuejia can well awaken the emotions.Allow subjects to produce the appropriate emotional experience.(2)Different emotions have different effects on TOM scores: Compared with neutral emotions, positive emotions significantly improve the performance of TOM,while the negative theoretical performance of psychology under negative emotions decreases.(3)Different subliminal moods have different effects on TOM.Subliminal positive emotions and subliminal negative emotions have significantly improved the subjects' TOM scores. The subliminal negative emotions and the suprathreshold negative emotions have different effects on psychological theoretical achievements.(4)Under the positive emotion state, different emotion regulation strategies have different effects on TOM scores.Appreciation and expression of catharsis TOM under the score higher than the evaluation of neglect and inhibition of expression.(5)Under the state of negative emotion, different emotion regulation strategies have different influence on the psychological theory: the assessment of TOM under the negligence and inhibition of expression is better than that of the theory of TOM under the evaluation and expression of catharsis.
