A Study On The Thai Translation Of "Butterfly" By Princess Sirindhorn Of Thailand From The Perspective Of Manipulation Theory

As the first translation novel of princess Sirindhorn of Thailand,the Thai translation of "butterfly" owns great literary and social value.At present,there is no research on the Thai translation of "butterfly".This paper reviews the development and characteristics of Chinese literary translation,and uses the theory of manipulation to analyze the influence of poetics,ideology and sponsors on the Thai translation of "butterfly",which aims to summarize poetics,ideology,patronage influence on translation,in order to analyze the value of Thai translation "butterfly",at the same time to the discussion of the applicability of the theory of manipulation.It is concluded that the development of Chinese literature in Thailand has gone through the period of classical novels,modern literature,wuxia novels and contemporary novels.With the passage of time,the translation method has become more and more standardized and diversified,and a number of excellent royal translators have emerged.The Thai translation of "butterfly" is influenced by three factors: ideology,poetics and patron.From the perspective of ideology,China-Thailand international relations,domestic political changes in Thailand and literary creation environment have had an impact on translation strategies,translation selections and text popularity.From the perspective of poetics,Thai social poetics system and princess Sirindhorn's personal style influence the translation processing of the translation.In terms of sponsors,the publication of the "butterfly" is driven by the support of South American press and the social status of princess Sirindhorn,reducing the resistance of the translator in the process of "re-creation" and text popularity.After cultural refraction,Thai translation of "butterfly" has great aesthetic value and literary value in terms of words,syntax and cultural transformation.The theoretical significance of this paper is to explore the specific way of the need for the highest level of literary works translation and the cultural adjustment of literary works in translation?This is the first time that cultural factors have been added to applied translation studies of Thai translation of Chinese literature.It will provide theoretical basis for the following two aspects: the study of the development of Chinese literary works in Thai translation,and the research of Sirindhorn's translation works and the supplement and improvement of manipulation theory.
