An Interpretation Practice Report On "South & Southeast Asia Film Exchange And Cooperation Forum"

Yunnan is located in the southwest frontier of China and it is close to South Asia and Southeast Asia.China and South Asian&Southeast Asian countries have similar geographical features,cultural and friendship exchanges.They have extensive cooperation and exchanges in various fields of culture,tourism and trade for many years.A lot of international conferences are held in Kunming every year.China-South Asia&Southeast Asia Art Week was approved by China-South Asia Expo Organizing Committee in 2015.The China-South Asia&Southeast Asia Art Week&Lancang-Mekong Art Festival was held in Kunming from June 10^thh to 14^th,2017.The author is much honored to be the interpreter of South&Southeast Asia Film Exchange and Cooperation Forum.The Skopos theory is the core of German functional school,and it was put forward by Hans J.Vermeer and developed in Germany in the late 1970s when most interpreting theories were focused on the linguistics field.The author applies the Skopos Theory to analyze the interpretation,and the salami technique,syntactic linearity and generalization are adopted in this report to solve and analyze the problems in the interpreting process.Transcripts of interpretation,interpreting processes（which include preparation,implementation and post-interpreting issues）,case studies and the experiences and lessons that the author learned are covered and discussed in the report.It is hoped that this report will have theoretical consideration and practical meaning for interpreters.This report includes five chapters.Chapter one is transcript of the source speech and interpretation.In Chapter two,the author describes some aspects of the interpreting task,including source of interpreting task and content,requirements of the interpreting task and expected results.In the third chapter,the author focuses on interpreting process which includes preparations,interpreting implementation and post-interpreting issues.Fourth chapter is case studies,the author mainly introduces the Skopos Theory and adopts of the Skopos theory.Meanwhile,the author analyzes the interpreting techniques used to solve the problems.Fifth chapter summarizes what the author learned from the interpreting experience,problems to be solved and enlightenment for future studies and work.
