A Study Of Formal Language Of Chinese Frescoes In 1970s

In the whole twentieth Century,Chinese fresco art was influenced by the change of society.Especially in the period of social transformation in 1970 s,the propaganda mural of the cultural revolution in the early 1970 s and the airport murals in the late 1970 s were characterized by themes and formal languages,which had a profound impact on the creation of frescoes in the new era.The unique artistic features of the Chinese murals in 1970 s and the characteristics of the times made it an indispensable chapter in the study of contemporary Chinese frescoes in the history of art.The prosperity and development of the modern Chinese fresco are most intuitively displayed in the formal language of the fresco.Therefore,the study of formal language should be paid attention to.Guided by the theory of Chinese art history,this paper use comparative method to study the performance characteristics of fresco art in 1970 s,and explored the influence of social factors on the evolution of formal languages.The first part of the introduction has mainly discussed the source of the subject,the purpose of the study,the method of research and the concept of formal language.The second part is the study of the formal language of the propaganda mural of the cultural revolution in the early 1970 s.It has mainly researched the composition,color,shape,form of expression and so on.The third part is the study of the formal language of the fresco of the airport in the late 1970 s.It is consistent with the analysis of the ideas of the Cultural Revolution to the publicity of the frescoes.The fourth part has studied the factors that affected the evolution of formal language,and looked forward to the problems which should be paid attention to in the creation of modern frescoes.The frescoes in the early 1970 s were still dominated by the cultural revolution.The frescoes were influenced by the political factors,and the formal language was characterized by stylization,politics and identification.In the late 1970 s,the Beijing capital airport's frescoes made a breakthrough in the expression of formal language,and artists broke the traditional ideas and pursued free and open forms of expression.The expression of formal language is restricted by social factors.Modern fresco creation is closely related to the development of the times,so the design concept should be focused on the cultural value demands of the contemporary people,and the expression form of fresco should be renewed to meet the new needs of expression.
