Researches on differences and characteristics of men and women from linguistic aspects are not very much,but since 1960 s,study of language and gender came into being and got development.Foreign researchers and scholars found that men and women pronounce,use words,use syntactic structure,and behave in speech communication in obvious different ways.The researchers and scholars also found that physiological,cultural and psychological,and social factors cause these differences.Domestic researchers and scholars found that men and women using language differently in pronunciation,intonation,vocabulary and syntax.Impoliteness pragmatics is common in our daily life.It is not only the opposition part of politeness pragmatics,but also has its own features and research value.With more and more scholars paying attention to the importance of “impoliteness” research,this situation has changed since 1980 s.Although lots of researchers have done researches on politeness pragmatics,fewer researchers have done researches on impoliteness pragmatics,what's more,even fewer researchers have done researches on impoliteness pragmatics from gender difference aspect.In this research,a computer with SPSS software and Excel software,one questionnaire for quantitative research and one interview for qualitative research,are used.The conclusion from SPSS data is that gender convergence is more obvious than gender difference among men and women when they express impoliteness.The only gender difference appears when men and women express impoliteness in public place to people with equal social status and after serious harm.The conclusion from Excel data proves gender difference exists visually when men and women express impoliteness in different situations,to people with different intimation degree,to people with different social status,and after different level of harm.
