| The political,economic and cultural development of Tang Dynasty was stable,and the hotel was an important form of its city development.This essay mainly discusses the distribution characteristics of three main forms of Chang’an’s hotel,government-run hotel,private hotels and temple hotels,and from the perspective of historical geography,discusses how their settings and distribution have an influence on Chang’an and urban management system.This paper is composed of five parts,and introduction part discusses the basis and significance,as well as the research status of this topic.The first part indicates that the development of Chang’an’s hotels is based on the unification of China in the Tang Dynasty.Because of political stability,economy has a rapid development.With road facilities and transportation improvement,it is possible for population to migrate.The emperors tour,imperial examination,and western business trade also show that population mobility is high in tang dynasty.The second part mainly discusses the distribution features of the government-run hotel,for example,Du Ting Yi is located in Tonghua Fang;Imperial garden is located in the north of Chang’an;Detached palace,palace is located in the suburb of Chang’an;and further explains the causes of the distribution characteristics.The third part mainly discusses the distribution characteristics of the private hotels.In general,more private hotels are located in east of the Zhuque street than west,north than south.Also it is widely distributed in high population mobility area such as imperial city,east market and west market;and areas with convenient transportation such as the "sixth street" and the city gate.Except that,this part will further explains the formation of this distribution characteristics.The fourth part mainly discusses temple hotels.The increasingly apparent economic function of tang temple and Taoist temple shows its hotel property.This article mainly analyzes why much more temple hotels are located in the west of the Zhuque street than east,the north than south.The fifth part mainly analyzes the influence of the government-run hotel,private hotels and the temple hotel on the urban spatial pattern as well as the influence on the urban management system of Chang’an. |
