The Research Of Quzhen Chen And The Modernization Of Xiangxi

Quzhen Chen was a influential figure in Xiangxi politics field during the Republic of China period,with the good reputation of "The king of Xiangxi ",a historical figure with important research value.With the subtlety of the study of history,more and more people pay attention to the interaction between Quzhen Chen and the development of Xiangxi region.This paper mainly studies the contribution of Quzhen Chen to the development of Xiangxi modernization from the angle of micro and macro.In the early period of the Republic of China,the warlords were in chaos,social turbulence,autonomy in vogue,and Xiangxi society was rampant with banditry,social disorder and backward development.Faced the situation of internal and external troubles,Quzhen Chen still promoted the transformation from the traditional agricultural society of natural economy to the modern society with industrial development as the main body.On the basis of referencing the existing research results,from the perspective of modernization,this paper discusses the historical role of Chen Quzhen in the process of modernization in Xiangxi,the discussion of Quzhen Chen and Xiangxi modernization was carried out from the three dimensions of politics,economy,culture and education.Politically,Quzhen Chen innovated in local administration,to adopt new methods of suppressing banditry and establishing new armed forces,creating a peaceful and stable political environment;promoting autonomy,expanding people's participation in politics and spreading democratic ideas to promote the modernization of Xiangxi politics.Economically,Quzhen Chen improved the structure of agriculture,commerce and industry,and optimized the economic structure of Xiangxi;set up the bank,reformed the currency system,develop the finance industry of Xiangxi in modern times,and promote the modernization of the economy of Xiangxi.In the field of culture and education,Quzhen Chen carried out educational reform to promote the modernization of education in Xiangxi.Innovate the concept of the masses to promote the modernization of people's ideology and culture.Although Quzhen Chen has made outstanding contributions in all aspects of Xiangxi society,smoking ban and tax revenue in Xiangxi society cause some disadvantagesl.Quzhen Chen's governance and development of Xiangxi accelerated the modernization process of Xiangxi.Through the historical investigation of the governance of Quzhen Chen of Xiangxi,from the perspective of modernization,gazing at Quzhen Chen and Xiangxi modernization,which provides a reference for the economic development of the society in Xiangxi today,to tackle the difficult problems of poverty alleviation,and to build a well-off society in an all-round way.
