Musical Characteristics And Singing Analysis Of Narrative Song The Cowherd And The Girl Weaver

Wang Zhixin is an outstanding representative of Chinese national vocal composer.In the works that he has created,he is particularly good at creating narrative vocal works in the themes of historical legends and folktales.When he is rooted in Chinese traditional excellent culture,he even endows the works with new artistic connotation and humanistic atmosphere.The paper takes Wang Zhixin’s narrative song Cowherd and The Weaving Maiden as an example in addition to vocal music learning sung by the author and practical experience.It carries out detailed and in-depth analysis and research on music characteristics and singing analysis of the works.The paper is divided into three chapters in total:The first chapter briefly discusses definition,origin and major characteristics of narrative songs and teases artistic characteristics of narrative songs that Wang Zhixin has created.The second chapter analyzes creation background,lyrics connotation,melodic style,musical structure and piano accompaniment of the song in detail and comprehensively analyzes musical characteristics of the song.The third chapter combines with my own singing experience and links theory with practice.It analyzes singing emotion from the perspective of the whole.Then,it grasps artistic style of the works through self-singing practice and carries out singing analysis on each period in detail.I hope there is a little bit of reference and help to my and others’ vocal learning.
