Research And Study Of Eastern Artistic Conception In Mikhail Guida's Painting

The Chinese and Western philosophies are totally different caused by the diversities of their cultures.Chinese philosophy focuses on human life with the core which is to improve the meaning of life,while the Western philosophy focuses on ration and knowledge.Under such philosophical background,Chinese and Western aesthetics varies much.Ukrainian artist Mikhail Guida,as an painter with the background of Western philosophy and aesthetics,has been deeply influenced by the Chinese philosophy and aesthetics after studying in China,which has added both Western and Chinese beauty to his paintings.Chinese aesthetics has rich contents.This paper only adopted four of them to analyze Guida's works.Those four,which namely�Great beauty without words�,�High skill conceals itself�,�White space with rich content� and �Between Images and Symbolism�,are used to explore the artist's understanding and expression of Eastern artistic conception in his works.Literally,those technics are shown in the primary hue,color,lines,space and images of the paintings.Meanwhile,the author of this paper has learnt the technics of Guida and will use it creatively in her graduation work,combined with her own painting style,to express her understanding of the Eastern artistic conception.The communication of the Eastern and Western cultures influences art's inheritance and development on both sides.We should absorb the best and continue to make effort on the artistic road to express and spread Chinese culture and aesthetics.
