“Reading China” is a series of activities held by China Scholarship Council.It was acknowledged to be undertaken by all universities in China.During the year 2015,more than 11,000 students from all over China participated in these activities.Which aimed to enlighten Chinese students on Chinese education,economy,culture,sociology,natural environment and Science & technology.These are further aimed to strengthen mutual interaction between students from foreign countries and Chinese people.The activity includes “one seminar,two cities,three discussions,four enterprises”.This project is based on practical interpretation of “Reading China” Longjiang Industry”.In this project,functionally equivalent theory is combined with on-hand industry knowledge to formulate effective interpretation strategies.In this paper,the author focuses on pre-translation preparation,planning and parallel text research.Furthermore,a set of industrial terminologies applicable to interpretation projects has also being formulated.Moreover,the difficulties and problems,which can be encountered during interpretation,are explained in detail.This paper summarizes the problems being faced and recommends the use of translation methods through case analysis.This research report is divided into five chapters.The first chapter narrates the summary,while the second chapter contains the author's introduction along with background of the project.Chapter three deliberates the interpretation process,including the exploration of parallel texts and the preparation of information pertaining to the project.The fourth chapter focuses on practical report,based on analysis of problems encountered during the interpretation practice.Furthermore,the author deliberates the difficulties being faced and countermeasures to be taken in order to resolve the issues.In the last chapter,some professional qualities of an interpreter are being explained.
