The Embodiment And Influence Of Ink Composition In Artistic Creation

From 1980s to the beginning of 90s,a large number of Western painting schools and painting theories poured into China,which impacted and affected Chinese painting,especially traditional Chinese painting.That caused the discussion about the relationship between tradition and change.In the history of Chinese painting,no age requires change of traditional Chinese painting more eagerly than 1980s.By interpreting Mr.Lu Chen's works,"Competition Game at the Frontier","Wind and rain Approaching Double Ninth Festival" and some ink sketches,comprehensive applying Chinese traditional composition program and Western modern form analysis,starting with the unique artistic image in Mr.Lu Chen's works and the distribution of black and white blocks,bringing black and white composition principle to ink painting,this paper conducts a deep form composition analysis to his typical works "Competition Game at the Frontier" and "Wind and rain Approaching Double Ninth Festival".The Chinese painting bloomed in 20th century.Mr.Lu Chen,as the representative painter of that age,also injects fresh blood and nutrition to the 20th century's Chinese painting.As a revolutionary and pioneer in the modernization of Chinese figure painting,Mr.Lu Chen puts forward a series of plans to reform Chinese figure painting.Among which,in order to open up the students' thinking of painting,break through the pure dogmatic modeling concept of imitating objective objects,enhance students' innovative ability,and broaden their exploration and study on the concept of form principle,in the spring of 1987,he took the lead in offering "Composition of Ink" course with the first studio of Chinese painting Department at Central Academy of Fine Arts,and putting forward the idea that "traditional Chinese painting should be developed on the basis of modern times".Mr.Lu Chen devotes his life to art education,and unswervingly pursues the plane composition,form composition,ink composition and other modeling languages to create Chinese figure painting,which greatly promotes the modernization process of Chinese painting.So Mr.Lu Chen contributes greatly to the basic teaching of Chinese figure painting as well as the growth and progress of traditional Chinese painting.
