To Analyze The Meaning Of The Space In Midnight On The Theory Of Marxist Social Space

Midnight is a realism full-length novel written by Mao Dun,based on the 1930’s background in Shanghai.The masterpiece is written in a precise perspective,which is the main plot of our hero Wu Sunfu’s fate about developing the national industry and interact with different characters around him,the development of the spaces around him,to show the different various meanings of these paces in Midnight.This dissertation is going to analyze Midnight’s text based on the theory of Marxist social space.There has been a turn-of-space in the 20 th century in philosophy field,as for this trend,many relevant experts organized and published Marxist social space theory.Unlike the traditional way of knowing the space,one of the most important theories of Marxist is based on the historical materialism and the view of practice,so the social space is a humanized space,full of human beings’ practice.It is a producible space itself because of human beings’ produce activities.The reason why this paper tries to explain the meaning of Midnight’s spaces by using the theory of Marxist social spaces is that to achieve the goal,exploring and practicing the effectiveness of analyzing modern Chinese literature texts.Analyzing literature texts’ combination interaction and infiltration on the grand historical background and the delicate experience of personal life.To approve the new research aspect on the study of Realism expression technique of “building a representative personality in a typical environment”.This dissertation includes these parts:Combining the author’s realism writing motivation,which is reflecting a specific era’s background,the dissertation is going to analyses the juxtaposition and conversion between the urban area and the rural area’s spaces and the meanings on the grand social and times background.Based on the development of productive force,there are different social spaces.Briefly speaking,this dissertation is going to perform the meanings in the alienation of labour,body,space of historical space,abstract space and contradictory space.According to these three spaces’ mutual effect on each other,we can make a conclusion that on the angle of the theory of Marxist social space,there is a complex and unique development picture of different classes,stands in the 1930’s China.
