Analysis Of Protection,Inheritance And Revitalization Of Traditional Crafts In Suzhou Area

China's traditional craftsmanship has a long history and a wide variety of categories.It embodies the ideological wisdom and practice of the working Chinese people over thousands of years.It is an essential component of the intangible cultural heritage,and is a vivid practice of the excellent Chinese traditional culture.Traditional crafts deeply integrate into people's necessities.During the economic expansion over the past decades,because of its "handicraft" characteristics,the traditional crafts have been ignored and despised.Many traditional crafts are endangered due to lack of inheritors,and thus need urgent protection and promotion.Suzhou is a famous city with abundant intangible cultural heritages.The city has various traditional crafts with delicate skills.This paper,which based on government's role,takes protection,inheritance and revitalization of the traditional crafts in Suzhou as the research content.First of all,it analyzes the representative legacy,historical origins,and protection status of the traditional craftsmanship in Suzhou.Then,major issues throughout the traditional crafts protection can be derived from the review.After a deep analysis of the origins for these problems,this paper finally proposes a series of countermeasures for revitalizing traditional crafts in Suzhou combined with the natural and humanistic conditions under the background of vigorous advocates of the revitalization of the traditional craftsmanship.
