A Research Of Yu Shinan's Diwangluelun

Diwangluelun written by the famous scholar Yu Shinan in the early Tang Dynasty was a general history book that commented on the merits and demerits of the former emperors,it was written in the background when the rulers of the early tang dynasty paid great attention to the historiography in order to seek the policy of governing the country,is an earlier monograph on the historical review of the emperors,Diwangluelun commented on the gains and losses of the emperors,emphasizing Yu Shinan's thought of history,for a long time still like new,whether it is for political thinkers or historians have important reference significance and extraordinary research value.Yu Shinan believes that emperors should pay equal attention to merit and virtue,an ideal monarch should possess the political qualities of talent,virtue,and metrics.Human talent is diversified,people of different identities also require talents that are suitable for their identity,the talent of the emperor "lies in the civilized and military aspects,civilized aspect has the ability and spirit to plan and govern the world,military talents can stop the riots,calm the war,stabilize the society,and unite the people".At the same time,in order to limit the abuse of authoritarian and wanton extravagance of the emperor,yu Shinan also emphasized the emperor's moral honesty and grand manner.Yu Shinan believes that fate and personnel work together,his review of certain emperors is involving numerological factors,in particular,the demise of Chen Dynasty was deduced from the hearsay of "god providence" and "destiny",but at the same time,there is also an emphasis on personnel in the Diwangluelun,yu Shinan believes that even if there are signs of disaster,but the emperor did his job of cultivating humane virtue,keeping the people's heart,and making every effort to govern,have nothing to fear from the occurrence of disaster,he used viewpoint of destiny to persuade the emperor to practice benevolent government.Yu shinan has a visionary view of history,to have political wisdom of the orthodox sense of equal importance in the Northern and Southern Dynasties,the national consciousness of oneness of the whole world,and the cultural awareness of the fusion of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism.Comparing of Yu Shinan's Diwangluelun and the Tang Jian of Fan Zuyu in the Northern Song Dynasty,can reflect the similarities and differences between the ideas of monarchy in the Tang and Song Dynasties.Yu Shinan's ideology has a unconsciously influence on Tang Taizong,and Taizong put his ideas into practice in administering the country,which played a role that can not be ignored for the emergence of Zhenguan heyday.
